Python Tutorial

In the previous blog we see that there are two types of functions in python. If you want to see that you can access it by clicking on this link Functions in Python

In this blog we see the Python built-in functions. So lets see brief about it.

Built-in Function

Python has so many built-in functions which are directly shows the result about what we can from it. The list of these functions are as follows:

  1. abs()
  2. all()
  3. any()
  4. char()
  5. ord()
  6. bool()
  7. float()
  8. len()
  9. min()
  10. max()
  11. sort()
  12. pow()
1.abs(): This is absolute function. It returns absolute or non-negative number of given value.

2.all(): This function is true, if all items in an iterable order is true. It shows false when the given list contains zero.

3.any(): This function works like logical "OR" it shows false when all the values are zero otherwise true.

4.char(): This function returns a character from the specified unicode. It returns a character of integer value.

5.ord(): This function returns integer equivalent of a character.

6.bool(): This function returns the boolean value of the given string, integer,etc.

7.float: It converts or returns the floating point number from an object, object of any type.

8.len(): It defines the length of the given object like list, tuple, etc.

9.min(): It defines the minimum value from the given object like list, tuple, etc.

10.max(): It defines the maximum value from the given objct such as list, tuple, etc.

11.sort() It sort the given list, tuple, etc.

12.pow(): It gives the power of the given number as you want.
